Recap of Powerful Chicago Press Conference

During the press conference, we discussed the recent development of HB4876, which is no longer advancing, which is a significant victory for parental rights. However, we also exposed other bills that threaten our rights in Illinois, emphasizing the ongoing need for vigilance and advocacy.

As Dr. Martin Luther King stated, "I fear I am integrating my people into a burning house.” Government-run education is nothing more than indoctrinated cesspools on fire, with our most precious cargo on the inside. - Latasha H. Fields

The overreach and implications of HB4876, along with bills such as Public Act 102-0522: Comprehensive Sex Education (signed into law in August 2021), HB346: LGBT History (signed into law in August 2019), HB370: Repeal of the Parental Notice of Abortion Act (signed in December 2021), and the proposed bill HB29: Parental Bullying Bill (introduced by Lashawn Ford on March 10, 2023) all represents a dangerous intrusion of government interference into the sacred domain of parental authority.

"Instead of addressing the mental health condition that caused the gender identity crisis in the first place, they were fast-tracked into a medical solution of removing their sex organs." -Angela Harris

  • These bills undermine the traditional family values that are the cornerstone of our society, eroding the authority of parents to raise their children according to their beliefs.

  • These bills discriminate against people of faith by forcing them to comply with medical procedures that may conflict with their religious beliefs.

  • These bills take away a parent's right to be fully informed about their children's education and medical care by allowing minors to consent to acts and learn inappropriate information and certain procedures without parental knowledge or consent.

"So, all of this falls on one party. We're done with saying, 'Oh, it doesn't matter what party you're in.' It does matter." - Devin Jones

The fact of the matter is, and the unfortunate reality for some, is that the Democratic agenda is not just a threat to parental rights; it is a threat to the very foundation of our society.

"As religious leaders, we admonish you to do your homework for this upcoming and future election. Check the voting record of each politician before you cast your vote." - Dr. Gale Fraizer

We urge you to join us in standing against any legislation that threatens parental rights. Contact your legislators, raise awareness in your communities, and support organizations like EPIC that are fighting to protect the rights of parents and families in Illinois.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our speakers who shared their insights and expertise with us: Dr. Gale Fraizer, President and Founder of the Daughters of Sarah International Outreach Ministries; Angela Harris, Homeschool Mom, and Parental Rights Advocate; Minister Kernetha Jones, Former Public School teacher; and Devin Jones, the 18th Ward Republican Committeeman.

Additionally, we want to thank our Amos 3 Coalition partners who joined us: Nikeya Young, a Homeschool and Parental Rights Advocate; Pastor Dionell Hill of New Life Resurrection Ministry, a community activist; and Elder Cheryl Blackmond.

Special thanks to Christine Shanahan McGovern, candidate for IL State Rep District 36, and Mark Rice for Congress IL District 8, for their support and participation.

Your dedication to protecting parental rights and advocating for our children is truly commendable. Together, we are making a difference in ensuring a brighter future for our families and communities.

We must stand together, remain vigilant, and continue to advocate for policies that uphold parental rights and protect the well-being of our children and families in this state.
