🚨 HB 2827, Hypocrisy, and the Fight for Parental Rights
Dear Friend,
On September 13, 2025, I had the honor of speaking to a crowd of Illinois homeschoolers at the "Not On My Watch" event in Winfield, IL. While I am grateful for the leadership that hosted this event and for the opportunity to speak, please note that the views expressed in this speech are my own.
I encouraged the group with a speech I gave a few months ago, "Who Do Our Children Belong To?" and started by honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk.
Charlie’s murder has shaken many of us to the core. Yet, as I shared that day, his life and testimony continue to speak.
Hebrews 9:16-17 reminds us: “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.”
Charlie’s sacrifice is not in vain—his voice still carries, reminding us that truth is worth fighting for, and that we must remain steadfast in this spiritual war for our faith, families, and freedoms.
In my message, I called parents to stand boldly and remember: Our children do not belong to the state. They belong to God.
Here are the key points from the speech:
Honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, whose testimony strengthens the movement
Exposing the spiritual war for our children’s hearts and minds
Calling out hypocrisy in Illinois lawmakers who claim to defend homeschoolers while destroying children in public schools, and anyone who supports and enables this kind of deceit
Warning against the present danger of HB 2827, a bill designed to undermine parental authority
Reminding parents of the biblical mandate to disciple, protect, and lead their families
A call for courage, conviction, and repentance—because this fight is not for the faint of heart
This is not the time for lukewarm strategies or compromise. It is time to rise as watchmen on the wall, to protect our children, and to declare that we will not hand them over to the state.
