When I, or anyone, talks about leaving government schools, the same response always comes up: “Parents can’t do this.” But for believers, “can’t” is illegal when it comes to trusting God. In this video, I challenge the mindset that keeps parents stuck in fear and dependence on broken systems. Drawing from Exodus, Deuteronomy 7:17, Titus 1:9, 11, and Hebrews 11, we confront the excuses, doubts, and voices that tell parents it’s impossible to protect their children. When Israel faced the Red Sea, the greatest enemy wasn’t the water in front of them — it was the “can’t” in their hearts. He asked them to step forward — and He made a way. 📖 Scripture References: ✔️Exodus 14 — God Makes a Way Where There Is No Way! God leads Israel out of Egypt and directly to the Red Sea. Trapped between the water and Pharaoh’s army, the people fear — but God tells them to move forward. When they obey, God parts the sea, delivers His people, and destroys the enemy pursuing them. Deliverance required obedience before understanding. Deuteronomy 7:17 — Confronting the “I Can’t” Mindset! God warns Israel against fear when facing nations stronger than them. He exposes the internal dialogue — “How can I dispossess them?” — and reminds them that victory does not depend on their strength, but on God’s power. Faith must override intimidation and excuses. Titus 1:9–11 — Silencing Voices That Undermine Faith! Believers are instructed to hold firmly to sound doctrine so they can encourage others and confront those who spread doubt, deception, and false teaching. Scripture says such voices must be stopped because they subvert entire households. Unbelief spoken as “wisdom” still destroys faith. Hebrews 11 — Faith Requires Action Before Evidence! This chapter defines faith as trusting God without visible proof. Every person listed obeyed God without knowing the outcome. Faith is demonstrated by movement — not comfort, certainty, or convenience. God responds to obedience, not hesitation. To those who have an ear to hear: Trust God. Get them out. Scripture already warned us: Read Rev 18:4, then read Isaiah 30, which speaks directly to this moment. In verses 1–3, God rebukes His people for seeking protection and solutions apart from Him—trusting systems rather than obedience. In verses 5–13, He exposes the shame and destruction that come from relying on false security, lies, and broken structures. God’s message is clear: Trusting systems instead of obeying Him leads to ruin. God does not bless dependence on broken (demonic) systems. He blesses obedience. I strongly encourage every parent to read Isaiah 30 prayerfully in its entirety and ask: Where am I trusting systems instead of God with my children? Reform is slow. Childhood is not. While parents wait on legislation, court cases, and elections, children are being indoctrinated right now. Exposure isn’t undone by policy wins. Confusion isn’t erased by reform. Thank God, we are not like Germany and Sweden; in America, we have a choice, and with that comes great responsibility under God. Parents, we are not called to sacrifice our children on the altar of convenience. We are not called to trust in the shadow of Egypt. We are called to exit, to take the lead. You know, Illinois has an insatiable appetite for sexually indoctrinating children. Illinois is determined to expose children to sexually explicit content, Consent, Gender Ideology, Political Indoctrination and, activism, and Identity Confusion, alongside academic failure. At UIC Urbana-Champaign, a student leaked a PowerPoint slide titled 'Supporting LGBT Students in Schools.' Most of us are not shocked, as this type of training has been ongoing for years. However, there’s one slide in the presentation that should deeply concern every parent—especially Christians. It openly states the not-so-quiet part. Essentially, they aim to turn government education into a political training ground where your children become activists and minions for the globalist agenda. Despite many parents fighting back, even after the federal government threatened to withhold millions of dollars, the state insists its sex-education standards are “comprehensive” and “medically accurate,” even as they introduce children — at increasingly younger ages — to concepts about sexual activity, gender identity, and self-defined identity, while leaving implementation up to local districts. And then parents are told, “Don’t worry — you can opt out.” Listen carefully. Opt-out is not parental authority. Opt-out is an erosion of it. If parents were truly the ultimate decision-makers, these programs would be opt-in by default — not something families must constantly monitor, fight, and escape. Meaning you should have a real choice whether to let your child participate in certain politically motivated standards. There is so much to unpack here. Illinois schools changed benchmarks — not outcomes. Black students are still struggling. Homeschool students outperform. The data is clear. It’s time to exit government education. Parents, we need to have an honest conversation about what’s happening in government schools — and why your role isn’t to reform a broken system, but to reclaim your authority over your child’s education. Illinois recently introduced new testing benchmarks, and on paper, the numbers look better. But let’s be clear — changing benchmarks does not change reality. Students are still struggling, especially in reading and math. And once again, Black students are paying the highest price. Across Illinois, Black students are far less likely to reach grade-level proficiency compared to their white peers. In many grades, only a fraction of Black students are meeting standards — even after the bar has been adjusted. These so-called improvements don’t represent real progress. They mask a deeper truth. The system is not working. And it hasn’t been working for a long time. And this failure isn’t new. Over 90 years ago, Booker T. Washington and Carter G. Woodson exposed it. Booker T. Washington emphasized self-determination, skill mastery, and economic independence — education that actually prepares children to build and lead. Carter G. Woodson warned that government-controlled education miseducates Black children by design — shaping their thinking, stripping identity, and training them to depend on systems rather than build their own. Fast-forward nearly a century, and what has really changed? New language. New benchmarks. New promises. Millions and billions of dollars. But the outcomes are still the same. So when I talk about parents making a difference, I don’t mean fighting for a seat at the table in a system that continues to fail our children. I don’t mean attending more school board meetings or begging for reform. I mean, parents taking back their God-given authority over education. Exiting! Real change happens when parents stop outsourcing responsibility and start leading their children’s education with intention. That’s why homeschooling, microschools, and community-based education work. Parents are present. Values are clear. And mastery matters. And the data proves it. Homeschooled students consistently outperform public-school students by 15 to 25 percentile points on standardized tests. And for Black students, the difference is even more striking. Black homeschool students outperform their public-school peers by as much as 23 to 42 points. That doesn’t happen by accident. That happens when education is personalized, disciplined, and rooted in identity and purpose. So let me say this clearly. Homeschooling is not just an alternative. It is a solution. Yes, it requires sacrifice. Yes, it requires courage. But our children are worth it. If the system refuses to change, then parents must.
